Our vision is to become a collection of admired North Yorkshire Inns.
As our name suggests, the focus of our business is on the provenance of not just the food and drink we serve, but also the provenance of our buildings, architecture, local communities, local trades, produce and recipes, for each of our individual inns.
A Provenance Inn will be a great pub that also provides good food, friendly service and accommodation - with individually designed bedrooms. Our pubs will bring together the essential, and often forgotten, principles of the great British inn.

Well done to all the team at The Carpenters Arms who have all been instrumental in winning the prestigious Best Freehouse Pub UK 2011 beating off five other finalists across the country to win the award at London’s Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.

Provenance Inns re-opens historic Punchbowl Inn at Marton cum Grafton near Harrogate.
Following a hectic three-week refurbishment during which a committed team of builders, plumbers and electricians worked tirelessly with us to take the pub back to its former glory, we re-opened The Punchbowl as part of the Provenance collection on Friday, 18th November 2011. We are absolutely delighted with the results and are really excited to be a part of this fabulous village and community.
